This Privacy Policy explains how Cover Studio AI collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the website and book-cover tools.
Information You Provide
We collect information needed to provide the service, including your account name and email address; password credentials stored as secure hashes; contact-form messages; book-project information; uploaded artwork; cover text and metadata; generated cover files; billing and subscription references; and communications with support.
Stripe processes payment-card details. Cover Studio AI is not intended to store full card numbers or security codes directly, although we may store Stripe identifiers, billing status, transaction references, and limited payment-method metadata.
Information Collected Automatically
The service may collect an IP address or privacy-preserving hash, browser and device type, request and authentication logs, error logs, usage information, cookie and session data, and security or fraud-prevention data. We use Google Analytics to understand visits and how people use the site. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, page-view, and interaction information and may use cookies or similar technologies for this purpose. We do not use Meta Pixel or describe Google Analytics data as being used for targeted advertising by Cover Studio AI.
How Information Is Used
We use information to provide and operate the service; authenticate users; save projects; generate artwork; process subscriptions; deliver exports; respond to support requests; prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; diagnose technical problems; improve usability; and meet legal obligations.
AI Processing
When you request AI generation, prompts and relevant project inputs may be sent to the configured AI provider, currently OpenAI. Uploaded artwork is sent only when necessary for the AI operation you request; using manual cover tools does not send artwork to an AI provider merely because it was uploaded. Provider handling is governed by its applicable terms and privacy practices, which can change. Do not put confidential or highly sensitive information in AI prompts.
Payment Processing
Stripe handles payment processing. Cover Studio AI may receive and store a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, price or plan identifier, billing status, invoice or transaction references, and limited payment-method metadata supplied by Stripe. Full card numbers and security codes are not intended to be stored by Cover Studio AI.
Data Retention
We retain information only as reasonably necessary for account operation, active projects, billing records, support, security, and legal obligations. Contact submissions are retained for 365 days by default and then become eligible for deletion. Deletion may not immediately remove information from backups or records that must be retained for legal or security reasons.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
User Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, account closure, or an export where available. If marketing email is introduced, you may opt out of it. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Selecting “Privacy request” on the contact form does not trigger automatic deletion.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International Use
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our service providers. This statement does not claim implementation of any particular international transfer framework.
Policy Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective or last-updated date. We do not promise individual email notice for every minor change.
