A paperback wrap begins with a 5-inch back and 5-inch front, separated by the calculated spine. Add required bleed only at the outer cover edges according to the production template.
Plan type for the smaller format
The narrower front demands disciplined title hierarchy. Check legibility at thumbnail size, and keep spine typography modest because compact books often have relatively narrow spines.
Export from a production master
Retain editable layers and high-resolution source artwork. Use the generated template and final preview to check bleed, folds, barcode space, and safe areas before exporting the print PDF.

How many pixels is a 5×8 front cover at 300 PPI?
The trimmed panel is 1500×2400 pixels, but a production file must include bleed and, for a full wrap, the back panel and calculated spine.
Can I resize a 6×9 cover to 5×8?
Simple scaling can distort the design and will not correct spine geometry. Recompose the source artwork on a template made for the 5×8 edition.
